A.M. Presentations 9:00-12:00
Robert Wakefield from Now Micro will provide attendees with the knowledge necessary to design and deploying Microsoft’s System Center 2012 Orchestrator. You will how Orchestrator 2012 is architected and deployed within the Systems Center suite. In addition, we will cover the automation of processes designed to address various scenarios, which may be encountered in an Enterprise environment. Upon completion, we will have the skills necessary to manage Orchestrator 2012 for maximum benefit. This session will also incorporate hands-on learning opportunities, so attendees can practice applying Orchestrator solutions to real-world scenarios.
Vulnerability Management (IP 360)
Presenters are Garrett Lanzy (MnSCU) and Leslie Sloan (Tripwire). Now that institutions have implemented IP360 vulnerability scans, this session will focus on how to use the information compiled by IP360 to improve information security. We will explore:
1. Generating and interpreting IP360 reports
2. Using IP360 to plan and verify vulnerability remediation efforts
3. Best practices and “lessons learned”
The session will include time for participants to discuss challenges and successes which they have experienced so that we can share solutions to common issues. Participants should be familiar with the material presented at the June 2013 Vulnerability Management Program Training web conference sessions, including:
• The goals of the MnSCU Vulnerability Management Program
• Setting up and running IP360 vulnerability scans
• Working with IP360 Credentials.
