Huawei Partners with the Nanfang Hospital to Launch the Nanfang Hospital Global Showcase and the HAIC Solution

• At the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 Healthcare Summit, Huawei officially launched the Nanfang Hospital Global Showcase with the Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University ("Nanfang Hospital" hereinafter) and the Healthcare AI Copilot (HAIC) Solution, aiming to establish a global benchmark and intelligent healthcare demonstration model for the healthcare industry, driving the digital and intelligent transformation of healthcare institutions worldwide.
• The showcase focuses on four core areas—healthcare, education, research, and management—to build a comprehensive intelligent healthcare demonstration and experience system. The HAIC solution, in collaboration with ecosystem partners such as Runda Medical and Huimei Technology, has been deployed at scale in multiple grade-A tertiary hospitals and regional healthcare networks.
• Huawei leverages its systematic approach of "technology + scenario + ecosystem" to drive the large-scale implementation of AI in operations quality control, AI-assisted clinical diagnosis, translation of scientific discoveries, and medical education. This helps build intelligent service capabilities covering the entire process from pre-diagnosis, mid-diagnosis, to post-diagnosis, making digital and intelligent technologies accessible and beneficial to all.

SHANGHAI - During HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, the Healthcare Summit, themed "Agentic-led Healthcare Transformation, Partnering for Innovative Best Practices", was successfully held in Shanghai. At the summit, Huawei officially launched the Nanfang Hospital Global Showcase and the Healthcare AI Copilot (HAIC) Solution. These achievements will accelerate the large-scale implementation of AI in healthcare and provide a replicable path for the digital and intelligent transformation of global healthcare institutions, according to the official website of Huawei.

The digital and intelligent wave is profoundly reshaping the global healthcare industry. The deep integration of AI with healthcare service systems is not only driving systematic changes in diagnosis and treatment models, scientific research paradigms, and management approaches, but also placing new demands on the digital and intelligent capabilities of healthcare institutions. Junfeng Li (Wind), Vice President of Huawei and CEO of Global Public Sector BU, William Zhang, President of Huawei Healthcare BU, Jian Sun, President of Nanfang Hospital, Kai Gao, Deputy Party Secretary of Nanfang Hospital, and Jie Liu, Vice President of Nanfang Hospital, jointly launched the Nanfang Hospital Global Showcase that aims to create a global benchmark for the healthcare industry and a demonstration model of intelligent healthcare.

Built on the Hospital AI Platform (HAIP)—which integrates computing power, data, and model resources—this showcase features the Nanfang Hospital Agent Platform to focus on four core areas: healthcare, education, research, and management. By igniting hospital-wide innovation, the showcase has implemented multiple AI applications and built a comprehensive, multi-layered intelligent healthcare system, offering a replicable and scalable path for digital and intelligent transformation for global healthcare institutions.

In his speech, Junfeng Li (Wind), Vice President of Huawei and CEO of Global Public Sector BU, stated that "Intelligent healthcare is never about simply stacking technologies", but requires a systematic approach to create a complete closed loop of "technology + scenario + ecosystem". Huawei leverages innovative achievements such as the HAIP and HAIC Solution to promote the large-scale implementation of AI in areas like operations quality control, AI-assisted clinical diagnosis, translation of scientific discoveries, and medical education. Furthermore, Huawei collaborates with partners to build an open and win-win digital and intelligent healthcare ecosystem, promoting the inclusive sharing of high-quality healthcare resources across regions and institutions.

Huawei is committed to working with global healthcare institutions and industry partners, using technological innovation as an engine and practical implementation as a cornerstone, to jointly explore sustainable development paths for intelligent healthcare, making digital and intelligent technologies a vital force in safeguarding human health.

Robert Yang, Director of Partner Development Dept of Huawei Global Public Sector BU, Feng Gu, President of Education & Healthcare Industries of Huawei China Government & Enterprise Business Group, Felix Zhou, Senior President of Overseas Business Division, Shanghai Runda Medical Technology, and Evelyn Wu, CEO of GuidelineX, jointly and officially launched the HAIC Solution to the global market. This solution has been implemented on a large scale in multiple grade-A tertiary hospitals and regional healthcare networks across China, in collaboration with ecosystem partners such as Runda Medical and Huimei Technology.

The HAIC joint solution, through its comprehensive coverage of scenarios such as pathology, imaging, and general practitioner assistants, transforms the diagnostic and therapeutic expertise of top-tier hospitals into digital and intelligent tools that are readily accessible to primary care physicians. HAIC is not only a fusion of technologies but also a transfer of capabilities. It empowers every primary care physician with real-time assistance from a "medical AI assistant," fully unlocking the path toward intelligent transformation in the healthcare industry.

At the summit, several industry experts shared insights on cutting-edge healthcare practices. Jian Sun, President of Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, shared the experience of collaborating with Huawei to build a "1+1+N" collaborative ecosystem, using the hospital-wide Healthcare Agent Innovation Competition to address the challenge of siloed AI applications.

Xiaoli Tang, Director of the Institute of Medical Information and Library, pointed out that digital & intelligent transformation is the core driving force behind the transformation of public health. She emphasized the need to rely on the "15th Five-Year Plan" to build new healthcare infrastructure and establish the trustworthy data space to achieve sustainable development. Xiao Du, Vice President of West China Hospital, Sichuan University, introduced the significant achievements of the Huaxi Hongyi medical AI model in improving diagnosis and treatment efficiency and optimizing patient services. Zheng Wang, Vice President of Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, stated that the hospital is leveraging the HAIP to strengthen its digital & intelligent foundation and promote the deep integration of AI into all aspects of diagnosis and treatment. Joan Christian Carmona Barón, CEO of Farmacéutica Medikamenta, shared the company's collaboration with Huawei in connecting 4,200 rural clinics in Mexico within four months, showcasing a practice of inclusive healthcare. William Zhang, President of Huawei's Healthcare BU, Zhang Weili, stated that Huawei has empowered top-tier hospitals such as West China Hospital and Nanfang Hospital to achieve efficient diagnosis, treatment, and research by developing the HAIP Healthcare AI Platform and the HAIC Healthcare AI Assistant. Adhering to the principle of "not replacing doctors but empowering healthcare professionals," Huawei collaborates with ecosystem partners to bring high-quality medical services to the people and work together to create a boundaryless future. Hui Liu, Vice Chairman & General Manager of Runda Medical, added that the company will continue to drive the replication and implementation of E2E healthcare AI in more hospitals, ensuring that professional diagnosis and treatment capabilities benefit more patients.

In the future, Huawei will partner with global healthcare industry representatives to build an open, collaborative, and shared digital and intelligent healthcare platform, empowering healthcare innovation with digital and intelligent infrastructure. Huawei is willing to work with global healthcare institutions and industry partners to safeguard people's health with digital and intelligent technologies, stay human-centric, and create a new chapter of intelligent healthcare.
