Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo Makes Asia Debut with Full EV Lineup and "Human x Car x Home" Ecosystem at 2026 Beijing Auto Show

BEIJING - Global technology leader Xiaomi makes the Asia debut of its Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept hypercar at the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2026). The company also showcases its full production vehicle lineup, including the new-generation Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi YU7, and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, according to the official website of Xiaomi.

On day one of the Auto China 2026, Xiaomi revealed the sales performance of the new-generation Xiaomi SU7 and shared its launch plans for Xiaomi YU7 GT. Meanwhile, Xiaomi offered a first introduction to the expert team of its Europe R&D Center in Germany, a highly experienced, industry-renowned R&D and design team team from around the world.

Xiaomi has demonstrated its steady progress and continuous breakthroughs in design, engineering, and smart technology, redefining what users can expect from its EVs while signaling its long-term commitment to accelerating global expansion with a fresh EV identity.

New-Generation Xiaomi SU7 Rapidly Delivers at Scale as the “New Driver‘s Car”

In just two years, Xiaomi EV has achieved accumulative deliveries of over 650,000 vehicles, with both Xiaomi SU7 and Xiaomi YU7 becoming bestsellers in the market. Since its launch on March 19, 2026, the New-generation Xiaomi SU7 has deliveries surpassing 26,000 units within 35 days of its first delivery.

The New-generation Xiaomi SU7 offers comprehensive upgrades in safety, handling, intelligence, and premium quality, and is committed to being the dream car that carries every aspiration. During a recent livestream challenge, Lei Jun— Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group — drove the New-generation Xiaomi SU7 Pro for 1,313 kilometers from Beijing to Shanghai with just one recharging stop, demonstrating its outstanding range performance and top-tier energy efficiency.

Positioned as a premium high-performance SUV, Xiaomi YU7 has also achieved impressive market results. In just ten months since its launch, it has delivered over 230,000 units. Building on this momentum, Xiaomi YU7 GT is set to launch in China in late May this year, delivering a brand-new experience that blends performance, luxury, and driving pleasure.

Xiaomi Introduces Its New Europe R&D and Design Center Team for the First Time in China

To deliver an even more premium, higher-quality driving and intelligent mobility experience, Xiaomi officially established its Xiaomi EV Europe R&D Center in Munich, Germany, in September 2025. The center assembles world-leading experts and experienced automotive designers. Leveraging the team‘s deep R&D expertise and global innovation perspective, it continues to refine Xiaomi EV’s high-performance DNA, premium craftsmanship, and innovative core, underscoring the company‘s strong engineering capabilities and its forward-looking global vision.

By leveraging world-class competences and ecosystem, Xiaomi EV accelerates breakthroughs in intelligent driving and vehicle dynamics. This expansion of the R&D network strengthens the company's ability to deliver vehicles that truly inspire and are renowned for their performance, whilst ensuring Xiaomi EV’s products align with global standards of safety, and quality.

This center also marks a significant step forward in Xiaomi's global strategy and automotive innovation, while representing major progress in its long-term "Human x Car x Home" smart ecosystem strategy and paving the way for Xiaomi EV‘s entry into the European market in 2027.

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo Concept Makes China Debut, Imagining the Future of Mobility

Earlier this year at MWC Barcelona 2026, Xiaomi unveiled its first Vision Gran Turismo concept vehicle, the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. Now, Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo makes its Asia debut at Auto China 2026, marking its first official appearance on home soil.

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is Xiaomi's forward-looking design exploration project in the virtual world, pushing boundaries in aerodynamics while expressing the deepest thinking on electrification and intelligent mobility. Approaching hypercar design from a technology company's perspective, Xiaomi reimagines the logic of performance vehicles, exploring the limitless possibilities of future mobility and the driving experience.

Xiaomi is not only the first Chinese brand to receive an invitation, also the first technology company ever to join, marking a historic breakthrough for Chinese automotive design on the global stage.

A Driver's Car That Masters Both Lightness and Aerodynamic Efficiency

For an electric hypercar, balancing low drag with high downforce is paramount. Conventional hypercars rely on bolt-on elements like large rear wings to generate downforce, adding weight and compromising efficiency. Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo takes a fundamentally different approach, drawing from aviation's inverse lift-body design. By inverting the integrated wing-fuselage concept used in advanced aircraft, the car generates massive downforce purely through accelerated airflow across its underbody with no additional components required.

The higher the aerodynamic efficiency ratio, the more downforce gained per unit of drag added. Simulation testing confirms Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo achieves an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1, a downforce coefficient of 1.2, and a drag coefficient of 0.29 — meaning every 1 unit of drag yields 4.1 units of downforce. This surpasses most top-tier hypercars on the market today, delivering a perfect synthesis of lightness and aerodynamic performance that defines its identity as the ultimate driver’s car of the future.

Intelligent Human-Car Symbiosis, Reimagined for the Hypercar

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo integrates next-generation smart interaction into the hypercar cockpit. Equipped with multi-modal sensors, the car continuously monitors the driver's biometric state. At high speed, real-time heart rate is displayed directly on the steering wheel, enabling the car to sense driver condition and help maintain optimal vehicle control. This delivers a true "human-car unity" experience, breaking the long-standing tradeoff between raw performance and intelligent capability that has defined traditional hypercars.

The Xiaomi Aesthetic, a Fully Minimalist, Natural Design

Xiaomi Vision GT was conceived as a unified whole from the very first sketch. Aerodynamics and form were never treated as separate disciplines — every surface shaped to meet aerodynamic goals without a single bolt-on addition. The silhouette flows like a suspended water droplet, seamlessly whole. This embodies Xiaomi’s design philosophy of Intuitive Beauty, Natural Beauty, while integrating signature family design elements — the halo-shaped taillights and cross-shaped headlights — for an unmistakable visual identity.

Visitors to the 2026 Beijing Auto Show can experience the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, along with Xiaomi's full EV lineup and its "Human x Car x Home" smart ecosystem, at the Xiaomi booth — Hall A4, Booth A402, at the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center (CIECC).
