InfiNet Wireless Announces New Generation of High-Capacity Wireless Solutions

Set to enhance the current range of InfiLINK and InfiMAN products, these new solutions offer partners and customers the most powerful and robust wireless connectivity units in the industry, more than quadrupling the processing power and range of today's products.
The new platforms boast a CPU data processing and throughput over four times higher than the current platforms, whilst still offering all of the class-leading networking features and Quality of Service (QoS) that end users have come to expect from Infinet. The platforms also provide an industry-unique capability that will allow the increase of output power up to 23 dBm through software license enablement, with no restriction across frequency bands and no need for antenna replacement or reconfiguration.
This major innovation will allow end users from all industry sectors to remotely boost the performance and reach of their wireless networks, saving significantly on OPEX costs and negating the need to despatch an engineer for on-site intervention and costly hardware upgrades. For the point-to-point wireless platforms, the new platform will herald the world's first single-unit, single-antenna solution for high-throughput, 50+km links, whilst for the point-to-multipoint scenario this will translate to supporting 300Mbps peak capacity throughput and 50+ subscribers per segment.
In addition to the introduction of a new platform for its product range, InfiNet has also added a new model to its InfiLINK 2x2 family, with a high-capacity 300 Mbps backhaul unit incorporating a 28 dBi integrated flat panel antenna. This unique solution provides customers with a complete 100 Mbps full-duplex out-of-box backhaul offer with a reach of up to 20 km.
