PAUL HARTMANN AG to Double the Launch of New Products Simultaneously in More Than Two Dozen Markets with TIBCO Software

PALO ALTO, CA - TIBCO Software Inc. today announced in a press release that PAUL HARTMANN AG, a leading provider of medical and healthcare products, has leveraged TIBCO master data management, workflow and portal components to build a flexible solution, reforming the way the company introduces new products and solutions into the global medical device market.

With TIBCO's technology, HARTMANN has been able to speed up the launch of new products across regions and markets by significantly improving information sharing between development, marketing, sales and production teams. The availability of additional product information has also helped HARTMANN to eliminate the duplication and redundancy of products, resulting in overall manufacturing and procurement savings.

The company will also be able to add products that are not manufactured by HARTMANN to the new product information database.
Fortified by the speed in which the company can now introduce and distribute bundled solutions to the 33 countries in which it operates, HARTMANN has laid the platform for new revenue generation and is able to find new sources of growth a challenge for companies that operate in a highly regulated and consolidated industries.

The new product introduction platform also enables HARTMANN to:

introduce more products simultaneously throughout the world with extensions to account for regional variations;
ensure launch deadlines are reliably met and downstream errors are minimized;
manage rich information that was previously not possible, such as product usage, benefits and target segments;
compile and store unified information in a master database, enabling other areas of the organization to leverage clean statistical data and product details for new projects.

HARTMANN manages the distribution of more than 20,000 products worldwide each year. With limited human resources to introduce a variety of new products in foreign markets (each with different country-specific requirements), the mid-sized company was forced to stagger launches in different markets at different times. This method, however, presented the company with limited sales opportunities, tied staff capacity for long periods of time and made it difficult to reliably forecast production schedules and manage the supply chain.
