Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Round 3 in Singapore: Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo Set to Launch in Gran Turismo 7

SINGAPORE - At the Gran Turismo World Series (GT World Series) 2026 Round 3 in Singapore, Gran Turismo series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi and Jean-Arthur Madelaine, Head of Design from Xiaomi Europe R&D and Design Center at Xiaomi Auto, announced that Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (Xiaomi Vision GT) will join Gran Turismo 7 (GT7) this October. The announcement also introduced Gran Turismo’s first EV Driving Experience, featuring dedicated driving challenges and training with Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. Yamauchi and Madelaine took the stage together to discuss the development of Xiaomi Vision GT and the evolving experience of electric performance driving, according to the official website of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Joins the Vision Gran Turismo Project as Its 36th Participating Brand

Launched in 2013, Vision Gran Turismo invites leading brands to imagine and create original concept cars exclusively for the Gran Turismo series. Over the past decade, the project has brought together some of the world’s most renowned automotive marques and produced 50 Vision Gran Turismo models, establishing a unique platform at the intersection of automotive design, engineering and virtual racing culture.

Xiaomi is the 36th brand, and the first technology company, to join the Vision Gran Turismo project. Xiaomi Vision GT made its global debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, where it was unveiled by Xiaomi Auto Chief Designer Li Tianyuan and drew strong interest from automotive communities and car enthusiasts worldwide. The physical concept was subsequently showcased at Auto China 2026 in Beijing. Its arrival in Gran Turismo 7 marks the next milestone in Xiaomi Vision GT’s journey from design vision to an interactive driving experience for players worldwide.

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo: Sculpted by the Wind

Xiaomi Vision GT is guided by the design philosophy “Sculpted by the Wind.” Rather than relying on deliberately sharpened surfaces or add-on aerodynamic elements, the car is shaped around a suspended teardrop-like cabin, with every surface aerodynamically optimized and every structural element designed with an airfoil cross-section. Building on aerodynamic solutions proven in production vehicles such as Xiaomi SU7 and Xiaomi YU7, Xiaomi Vision GT takes the approach further: its cross-shaped headlights also function as airflow guides, while the signature halo-shaped taillight is integrated into the rear air channel. Together with an active wake-control system, these features enable an aerodynamic efficiency value of 4.1 and a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.29.

Xiaomi Vision GT also introduces the “Sofa Racer” concept, centered on a cocoon-like cockpit that combines comfort, immersion and driver focus. Powered by Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAi AI Voice Assistant and Xiaomi MiMo foundation model, the cockpit can anticipate and respond to driver intent while connecting naturally with Xiaomi’s "Human × Car × Home" smart ecosystem. Commenting on the design, Yamauchi said: “The overall design maintains its simplicity while revealing an indescribably sleek and incredibly sexy curved aesthetic. I believe this car will become a role model for this era."

Kazunori Yamauchi and Jean-Arthur Madelaine: Xiaomi Vision GT Feels Incredibly Smooth in the Game

Yamauchi noted that Xiaomi Vision GT has generated strong interest among racing and gaming enthusiasts since its appearances at MWC Barcelona and Auto China earlier this year. The community’s anticipation of experiencing the vehicle in Gran Turismo 7 helped build momentum behind the collaboration.

Reflecting on his experience, Madelaine described Xiaomi Vision GT as a futuristic driver's car that is "sculpted by the wind", engineered to pursue the perfect balance between low drag and high downforce. In the game, it maintains both high speed and exceptional stability, resulting in an incredibly smooth overall driving experience.

Gran Turismo 7 Introduces Its First EV Driving Experience

The two companies also announced that Gran Turismo 7 will introduce its first dedicated EV Driving Experience, with challenges featuring Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. The program gives players a new way to explore the distinct acceleration, braking and handling characteristics of high-performance EVs within the authentic driving environment of Gran Turismo 7.

A New Chapter in Xiaomi Auto’s Connection with Global Car Culture

With Xiaomi SU7 Ultra joining Gran Turismo 7, Xiaomi Vision GT entering the Vision Gran Turismo lineup, and both models featuring in the new EV Driving Experience, Xiaomi Auto is expanding its presence across production performance cars, visionary concept design and interactive driving experiences.

Gran Turismo 7 players worldwide will soon be able to drive Xiaomi Vision GT on iconic circuits including the Nürburgring, Le Mans and Suzuka. Through original design, advanced engineering and digital innovation, Xiaomi Auto will continue to contribute a distinctive perspective to global automotive and racing culture.
