5G Digital Support System Catalyst Demonstrates Latest Achievements - Huawei
SHENZHEN - The 5G Digital Support System (Empower Ecosystem for 5G New Business Growth) Catalyst, jointly innovated by various communications service providers (CSPs) and other partners, including Huawei, has demonstrated its latest achievements at the TM Forum Catalyst Digital Showcase (CDS) online summit, according to the official website of Huawei.
During the showcase the 5G Digital Support System Catalyst explored how to use a 5G ‘digital support system’ with an open architecture to allow CSPs to continuously innovate, respond to industry demands quickly and offer diversified service support capabilities for multiple verticals.
In the past, 4G powered breakthroughs in the communication, manufacturing and software service industries. Although consumer growth is slowing, the enterprise sector offers fresh growth opportunities for CSPs – particularly those using 5G-powered applications. Through 5G, operators will be central to enabling inter-industry cooperation and solving the pain points of existing enterprise support.
In order to serve these industries at scale, CSPs must establish an end-to-end online digital support system. The system demonstrates China Unicom Software Research Institute’s 5G Digital Support System, providing an improved customer support experience. It allows vertical customers to search, select, order and monitor the services provided, including AI, network slicing, edge computing and other technologies. This is enabled through business, operations and management domain data, combined with big data analysis.
The system provides users with end-to-end solutions and online closed-loop support for customer service processes. These functions and platforms help to optimize core business processes and accelerate the business support lifecycle. This solution can be applied to Smart Port and Smart Medical industry scenarios but could also easily be deployed in many other verticals.
5G technology helps thousands of industries, allowing business development to enter the fast lane. Business agility, industry ecosystem integration, enhanced user experience, and improved operational efficiency will be several key challenges in the field of digital operations moving forward
To take advantage of new opportunities, China Unicom and partners like Huawei will adhere to the cooperation concept of ‘wide consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits’, empowering partners through converge core capabilities such as basic networks, operating platforms, sales channels, and customer service, to realize the complementary strengths of industrial ecosystems, collaboration and shared success, jointly building a new smart ecosystem cooperation system. In the near future, CSPs, industry organizations and partners will continue to build a 5G-based online digital support system, which will accelerate enterprise business growth and promote the sound development of the industry.
