Samsung and Hershey’s Join Hands for Playful Samsung Friends Accessories Collection
SEOUL - Samsung Electronics introduced a new line of Samsung Friends accessories — designed in collaboration with global confectionary brand The Hershey Company. Samsung Friends is a lifestyle accessory brand created through collaboration between Samsung Electronics and 3rd party accessory manufacturers. The brand engages in various activities such as collaborations with different brands and IPs, the use of new materials, and partnerships to convey eco-friendly messages. The collaboration with Hershey’s introduces 12 one-of-a-kind accessories inspired by Hershey’s iconic confectionery packaging for Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices — Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, the Galaxy Buds3 series and the Galaxy Watch7. Following its debut in Korea on the 29th, the Samsung Friends & Hershey’s collection will be released later this year in countries including Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and the United States, according to the official website of Samsung Newsroom.
To celebrate the launch of the new collection, Samsung opened Flip Tour With Hershey’s, a special pop-up at the company’s Gangnam flagship store from July 29 to August 11 where visitors can experience this unique collection firsthand. They can choose and attach their desired part of food packaging plastics to plate their accessories with 100% recycled material transformed from Hershey’s plastic packaging waste using proprietary Samsung technology and also get a chance to taste limited-edition Hershey’s-themed beverages.
With the introduction of the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, Samsung Friends will further expand its range of mobile accessories to feature characters and designs from 17 different iconic brands including Sticky Monster Lab, Smiley, Keith Haring, Disney, Minions and Pokémon.
The accessories can be purchased at Samsung.com and SLASH B SLASH’s online mall.
“With our partners, Samsung aims to create unique accessories that reflect users’ individual tastes and enhance the customer experience,” stated Jongmoo Lee, Head of Future Generation Lab, a group of young Samsung employees that fosters authentic conversations around the activities of upcoming generations. “We will continue to expand our value offerings by developing products that highlight our eco-conscious values and innovative technology.”
